What will be the measure of an obtuse angle of a parallelogram if the ratio of its alternate angles is 5 : 13?

Solution:

(2) The alternate angles are 5x and13x. The sum of alternate angles ofa parallelogram is 180°.
5x + 13x = 180

⇒x = 10

So, the obtuse angle is

13 × 10 =130°
