Two numbers x and y are such that their sum is equal to twice their difference. What will be the value of ${2 xy}/{ 6 ( x^2+y^2)}$ ?

Solution:

(3) x + y = 2 (x - y)
⇒ x = 3y

∴{2xy} /{6(x^2+y^ 2 )}={2(3y)y}/{6(9y^2+y^2)}

{6 y^2}/60y^2=1/10
