Solution:

Let diagonals AC and BD intersect at O. In ΔABC, PO

= {1}/{3} ×{ {BD}}/{2}=2 {cm}

and in ΔADC, OQ

= {1}/{3} ×{ {BD}}/{2}=2 {cm}

Hence, PQ = PO + OQ = 2 + 2= 4 cm
