Chords AC and BD of a circle with centre O intersect at right angles at E. If ∠OAB = 25°, then the value of ∠EBC is

In triangle OAB, OA = OB = radius,

so,

∠AOB= 180° -2 ∠OAB =180°- 50°= 130°

Since angle made by an arc at circumference is half of the angle made at the centre,

∠ B C A= {130°}/{2}=65°

Now, in triangle BEC,

∠ E B C=90°-65°=25°
