Solution:

(2) Let the cost price of 1 litre milk = Rs.1
Selling price of 1 litre mixture = Rs. 1
cost price of 1 litre mixture

=1 ×{100}/{100+25}= Rs.{4}/{5}

∴

Ratio

= {4}/{5} : {1}/{5}=4 : 1

∴

the volume of the added water

= {1}/{5}
