The average of all the numbers between 6 and 50 which are divisible by 5 is

Solution:

(1) Numbers between 6 and 50 which are divisible by 5 are 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45. So the average is,

{10+15+20+25+30+35+40+45}/{8}

= {220}/{8}=27.5

Or,
When numbers are in A.P., we can find out average by dividing sum of first and last no. by 2, i.e.,

{10+45}/{2}= {55}/{2}=27.5
