Solution:

(1) Volume of water flowing from the pipe in 1 minute

=\π× 0.25^{2} ×1000 {cm}^{3}

Volume of conical vessel

= {1}/{3} \π× 15^{2} × 24 {cm}^{3}

Time taken will be

= { {1}/{3} \π× 15^{2} \×24}/{\π0.25^{2} \×1000}

= 28 minutes 48 seconds
