A right cylindrical vessel is full with water. How many right cones having the same diameter and height as that of the right cylinder will be needed to store that water?

Solution:

(3) Let radius and height of the one and the cylinder be r and h,respectively.
So, Volume of cylindrical vessel is

\π r^{2} h

and that of cone is

\ {1}/{3} \πr^{2} h

.
Therefore, the number of cones

\ {\π r^{2} h}/{ {1}/{3} \π r^{2} h}=3.
