(3) Let the cost price of articles be Rs. p. So, the selling price of articles will be,
85% of 60

= {60×(100-15)}/{100}= {3 × 85}/{5}=Rs. 51

After offering gift, Selling price of articles become 51 – 3 = Rs. 48. Therefore, cost price is,120% of the selling price, afteroffering gift, that is, Rs. 48;
