If the quantity sold of item D increased by 50% and the price reduced by 10%, what was the total value of the quantity sold for Item D?

Solution:

New quantity of item D

=40×150/100=60

quintal
New price/kg of item D = 90% of ₹12.5

=12.5×90/100=\₹11.25\/kg

∴ Total price

= \₹(60× 100 ×11.25)=\₹67500
