Solution:

A takes twice as much time as B or thrice as much time as C to finish a piece of work.
A = 2B = 3C
Then,

1/A+1/B+1/C=1/2

1/A+2/A+3/A=1/2

⇒

6/A=1/2

⇒ A = 12 days

A/2

= 6 days
