Ramanathan Krishnan was India’s first tennis player to play at Wimbledon. He was one of the greatest tennis players of India and was known as ‘the maestro’. He was junior Wimbledon champion in 1954 and reached the semifinals of the Wimbledon championships in 1960 and 1961.
