An angle is smaller than its supplementary by 30°. What is the measure of the angle?

Solution:

Let the angle = θ
Its supplementary angle = ( θ + 30°)
Sum of an angle and its supplementary angle = 180°

θ + (θ + 30° ) =180°

⇒

2θ=180°-30°=150°

⇒

θ=150/2=75°
