Solution:

According to the question, 1st January 2013 is Wednesday
Number of days left in January

= 31 -1 =30

Similarly, odd days from 1st January 2013 till 2nd January 2014 =

(30+28+31+30+31+30+31

+31+30+31+30+31+2)%7

(2+0+3+2+3+2+3+

3+2+3+2+3+2)=30

Now, dividing 30 by 7, remainder = 2
Thus, day on 2nd January 2014 = Wednesday (+2) = Friday
