Sum of the five numbers = 5 × 76 = 380
Let the first number = x and Sum of other 4 numbers = y
According to ques, ⇒ $\mathit{x}=\frac{3}{7}\mathit{y}$
Also, ⇒ x + y = 380
⇒ $\frac{3\mathit{y}}{7}+\mathit{y}=380$
⇒ $\frac{3\mathit{y}+7\mathit{y}}{7}=380$
⇒ $10\mathit{y}=380\times 7=2660$
⇒ $\mathit{y}=\frac{2660}{10}=266$
∴ The first number = $\mathit{x}=\frac{3}{7}\times 266$
= $3\times 38=114$
