The length of the diagonal and the breadth of a rectangle are 29 cm and 20 cm respectively. Find its perimeter (in cm).

Solution:

Let the length of rectangle =

l

cm and breadth,

b=20

cm
⇒ Diagonal,

d^ 2 = l ^2 + b^ 2

⇒

l ^2 = (29)^ 2 − (20) ^2

⇒

l^2 = 841 − 400 = 441

⇒

l=√144=21

cm
∴ Perimeter =

2×(21+20)=2×41=82
