Given : Largest chord in a circle is the diameter, ⇒ radius OA =

10/2=5

cm and OB = 13 cm
To find : AB = ?
Solution : In right ∆OAB,
⇒

(AB) ^2 = (OB)^ 2 − (OA)^ 2

⇒

(AB) ^2 = (13) ^2 − (5)^2

⇒

(AB)^2 = 169 − 25 = 144

⇒

AB = √144 = 12
