of the road had been constructed. To complete the work in stipulated the number of extra labours required is:

⇒ Remaining work =

1-5/8=3/8

Remaining time = 16 - 12 = 4 days
Let number of extra labours required = x
Using,

{M_1D_1}/W_1={M_2D_2}/W_2

{{20×12}/5}/8={(20+x)×4}/3/8

⇒

20 × 12 × 3 = (20 + x) × 4 × 5

⇒

20 + x = 36

⇒

x = 36 − 20 = 16
