Solution:

Let quantity of water in mixture = x litres, ⇒ Quantity of milk = 5x litres
According to ques, ⇒

{5x}/{x+5}=5/ 2

⇒

x/{x+5} = 1/ 2

⇒

2x = x + 5

⇒

2x − x = 5

⇒

x = 5

∴ Quantity of milk = 5 × 5 = 25 litres
