If 3*1 = 20, 6*1 = 50 and 2*6 = -40, then find the value of 5*8 = ?

Solution:

The pattern followed is :

a ∗ b = (a − b) × 10

Eg :- 3*1 =

(3 − 1) × 10 = 20

6*1 =

(6 − 1) × 10 = 50

and 2*6 =

(2 − 6) × 10 = −40

Similarly, 5*8 =

(5 − 8) × 10 = −30
