Atal Pension Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015. It is also known as Swavalamban Yojana. It is primarily targeted at the unorganised sector.
Under the APY, guaranteed minimum pension of $\mathit{₹}1000$ or $\mathit{₹}2000$ or $\mathit{₹}3000$ or $\mathit{₹}4000$ or $\mathit{₹}5000$ per month will be given at the age of 60 years depending on the contributions by the subscribers.
