Solution:

Let cost price = Rs. 100
Profit =

60/100 ×100 = Rs. 60

⇒ Selling price =

100 + 60 = Rs. 160

∴ Profit percentage on selling price =

60/160 ×100

3/8 ×100 = 37.5%
