Time period = 18 + 28 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 8 = 146 days
Simple interest = $\frac{\mathit{P}\times \mathit{R}\times \mathit{T}}{100}$
= $\frac{12,000\times 15\times 146}{365\times 100}$
= $\frac{120\times 15}{2.5}=120\times 6=\mathit{R}\mathit{s}.720$
∴ Amount paid by Tusar to the money-lender to clear his debt = 12, 000 + 720 = Rs. 12, 720
