Solution:

Given, perimeter of the circle

=88 {cm}

⇒ 2 π r=88

∴ \;\; r=\;{88}/{2} × \;{7}/{22}=14 {cm}

∴

Area of the circle

\;\; =π r^{2}=\;{22}/{7} × 14 × 14

\;\; =616 {cm}^{2}
