The Kumaon Himalayas lie between Satluj and Kali. Nanda Devi is the highest peak of this division. This longitudinal mainly lies in the State of the Uttarakhand. Important peaks in this region are Nanda Devi, Trisul, Kedarnath, Dunagiri, Kamet, Badrinath, Jaonli, Gangotri and Bandarpunch. The major hill stations are Mussorie, Nainital, Ranikhet, Almora and Bageshwar. The important passes are Thaga La, Muling La, Mana, Mangsha Dhura, and Lipu Lekh.
