Let the speed of boat in still water be $\mathit{x}\mathit{k}\mathit{m}∕\mathit{h}$ and speed of the current be $\mathit{y}\mathit{k}\mathit{m}∕\mathit{h}$
$\therefore$ According to the question,
$\frac{55}{\mathit{x}-\mathit{y}}=5\{\because$ Time
$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}-\mathit{y}=11$ . . . (i)

$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}+\mathit{y}=25$ . . . (ii)
Add Eqs. (i) and (ii),
$\Rightarrow 2\mathit{x}=36$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}=\frac{36}{2}=18\mathit{k}\mathit{m}∕\mathit{h}$
$\therefore$ Required time $=\frac{96}{18}\mathit{h}=5\frac{1}{3}\mathit{h}$
$=5\mathit{h}20\mathit{m}\mathit{i}\mathit{n}$
