Solution:

Given, total marks

=180

Marks allocated for theory

=75 \% \;\text " of "\; 180=75 × \;{180}/{100}=135

Marks allocated of project work

\;\; =180-135=45

Veena's marks in theory

=135 × \;{60}/{100}

=81

Total marks needed to Veena

=180 × \;{62}/{100}=111.6

∴ \;\text " Marks needed in project work "\;

=111.6-81= \;\; 30.6

∴ \;\text " Required per cent "\;= \;\; \;{30.6}/{45} × 100

= \;\; =68 \%
