more than 10 times the fare he paid for an auto rickshaw. The total amount spent by him is 13 times the fare he paid for an auto rickshaw. What total amount of money was spent on bus as well as auto rickshaw by the man?

Solution:

Let the fare of auto rickshaw

=₹ x

Then, amount spent on bus

=₹(10 x+60)

Total amount

=₹ 13 x

∴

10 x+60+x=13 x

⇒

11 x+60=13 x

⇒

2 x=60

x=30

Now, total amount spent

=₹ 13 \×30=₹ 390
