In the year 2019, 2 persons were selected for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award namely, wrestler Bajrang Punia and Paralympic athlete Deepa Malik. In 2020, 6 persons were honoured with Award which are as follows Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award is India's highest sports award.
