Solution:

Let the total expense for the dinner be

∴

According to the question,

(20 × 880)+10 ×(110+\;{x}/{30})=x

⇒ 20 × 880+1100 \;\; =x-\;{x}/{3}=\;{2 x}/{3}

x \;\; =\;{18700 × 3}/{2}

\;\; =₹ 28050
