Solution:

Expression 1 :

x + 3 ≤ 4x + 4

⇒

4x − x ≥ 3 − 4

⇒

3x ≥ −1

⇒

x≥-1/3

Expression 2 :

3(4 - x) - 4 ≥ 2x - 2

⇒

12 − 3x − 4 ≥ 2x − 2

⇒

2x + 3x ≤ 8 + 2

⇒

5x ≤ 10

⇒

x≤2

Combining inequalities (i) and (ii), we get :

-1/3 ≤ x ≤ 2

The only value that x can take among the options = 1
