Satyendra Singh won the 'Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award' in August 2020 in the 'Water Adventure' category. Satyendra Singh Lohiya became the first Asian Paraswimmer to cross the $42\mathit{k}\mathit{m}$ Catalina Channel in the US in just $11.34$ hours. Tenzing Norgay award is the highest national adventure sports award (first awarded-1994), which is named after Tenzing Norgay, one of the first two individuals to reach the summit of Mount Everest alongwith Edmund Hillary in $1953.$
