∴ Area of trapezium

=1/2 (AD + BC) × EF

Area of ΔAED

= {1}/{2} ×{AD} ×{EF}

∴ Required ratio

= { {1}/{2}( {AD}+ {BC}) ×{EF}}/{ {1}/{2} ×{AD} ×{EF}}

= { {AD}+ {BC}}/{ {AD}}
