Solution:

In ΔCOD and ΔAOB,
∠OAB = ∠OCD
∠OBA = ∠ODC
By AA–similarity,
ΔAOB ~ ΔCOD

{ { \Area \of } \Δ{AOB}}/{ { \Area \of } \Δ {COD}}= { {AB}^{2}}/{ {CD}^{2}}

= {4 {CD}^{2}}/{ {CD}^{2}}= {4}/{1}
