Solution:

(4) B’s capital = Rs. x
∴ A’s capital = Rs. 2x.
Ratio of equivalent capitals of A and B for 1 month

= (2 x × 10+ {3 x}/{2} × 2 ) :

(x × 8+ {x}/{2} × 4 )

= (20x + 3x) : (8x + 2x)

= 23x : 10x = 23 : 10
