(3) Diagonal of square =

× side

⇒{3-x}/{√{2}}=√{2} ×{1}/{2}(x+1)

⇒ 3-x=√{2}×√{2} ×{1}/{2}(x+1)

⇒ 3-x=x+1

⇒ x+x=3-1

⇒ 2 x=2 ⇒ x=1
