Solution:

(2) Volume of used iron

=\π( {R}^{2}-r^{2} ) h

where R = 4 cm; r = 3 cm.

= {22}/{7} (4^{2}-3^{2} ) ×20

= {22}/{7} ×(4+3)(4-3)× 20

= {22}/{7}× 7 × 20=440 {cu} . {cm} .
