(3) Percentage of students who pass in one or two or both subjects = 73 + 70 – 64 = 79%
∴ Unsuccessful students
⇒ 100 – 79 = 21%
If the total number of examinees be x, then
21% of x = 6300

⇒ x ×{21}/{100}=6300

⇒ x= {6300 × 100}/{21}=30000
