Solution:

(2) According to the question,
1 man ≡ 2 boys
∴ 3 men + 4 boys ≡ (3 + 2) men ≡5 men

∴{M}_{1} {D}_{1}= {M}_{2} {D}_{2}

⇒ 5 ×{D}_{1}=10 ×8

⇒{D}_{1}= {10× 8}/{5}=16 {days}
