If a taxi going at 40 km/hr takes 25 minutes to travel a certain distance, by how much should it increase its speed (in km/hr) to travel the same distance in 20 minutes?

Solution:

Distance =

40×25/60=50/3

and speed

={50×60}/{3×20}=50

km /h
∴ Required increase= 50 - 40 = 10 km /h
