ΔABC is similar to ΔPQR. If ratio of perimeters of ΔABC and ΔPQR is 3 :7 and if PQ = 21 cm, then what is the length of AB (in cm)?

Solution:

∵ ΔABC = ΔPQR

{\Circumference \of \Δ\ABC}/{\Circumference \of \Δ\PQR}=\AB/\PQ

⇒

3/7=\AB/21

∴ AB = 9 cm
