Point P is the midpoint of segment AB. Co-ordinates of P are (1,3) and A are (-3, 8). What ate the co-ordinates of point B?

Solution:

Let the co-ordinates of point B = (x ,y )

(1,3)=({-3+x}/2,{8+y}/2)

{-3+x}/2=1,{8+y}/2=3

x = 5 , y = -2

The co-ordinates of point B = (5, -2 )
