Solution:

Let the fraction = x
According to the question,

4x+7/x=16

{4x^2+7}/x=16

⇒

4 x ^2 + 7 = 16x

⇒

4 x^2 -16x + 7 = 0

⇒

4 x^2- 1 4 x -2 x + 7 = 0

⇒

2x(2x - 7) -1 (2x - 7) = 0

⇒

(2 x -7 )(2 x -1) = 0

∴

x=7/2
