then what is the value of 7 × 4 = ?

Solution:

As,

7 × 1 = (7 -1) ×2 =6 ×2 = 12

and

5 × 4 = ( 5 - 4 ) ×2 = 1×2 = 2

and

6 × 4 = (6 - 4)×2 = 2 ×2 = 4

Similarly,

7 × 4 = (7 -4 )×2 = 3 × 2 = [6]
