Solution:

\sin θ = 12/13

In ΔABC, by Pythagoras theorem,

AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2

⇒

BC^2 = 1 3^ 2 -12^2

⇒

BC = √{169 -144}

⇒

BC = √ 25 = 5

∴

\cot θ =\BC/\AC=5/13
