A can do a work in 12 days and B in 24 days. If they work on it together for 4 days, then what fraction of work is left?

Solution:

(A + B)’s 1 day's work

1/12+1/24= {2+1}/24 = 1/8

(A + B)’s 4 days’ work

1/8×4=1/2

∴Rest of the work

=1-1/2=1/2
