A race course is 600 meters long, A & B run a race and A wins by 10 meters. B & C run over the same course and B wins by 5 meters. C &D run over it and D wins by 15 meters. If A & D run over it, then who would win and by how much?

A wins by 0.08m
A win by 6m
D wins by 0.08m

Validate

Solution:

If A covers 600m, B covers 590 m.
If B covers 600 m, C covers 595 m.
If D covers 600 m, C covers 585 m
∴ If B covers 590 m, then C will cover

={595×590}/600= 585.08m

Again if C covers 585.08m, then D will cover

600/585×585.08 = 600.08

Thus if A & D run over 600 m, then D wins by 0.08 m.
