What is the sum of the first 12 terms of an arithmetic progression if the first term is -19 and last term is 36?

Solution:

n = 12, a = -19 and I = 36
By formula,

S_n={n(a + l)}/2={12(-19 + 36)}/2

= 6× 17 = 102
