A, B and C can finish a job working alone in 12,8 and 24 days, respectively. In how many days they can finish the job if they worked together ?

Solution:

A’s 1 day work

=1/12

B’s 1 day work

=1/8

and C's 1 day work

=1/24

∴ (A + B + C )' s 1 day work

=1/12+1/8+1/24

={2+3+1}/24=6/24=1/4

∴ (A + B + C ) can finish the work = 4 days
