Solution:

Let the fraction be

x/y

According to the question,

2×x/y+3×y/x=29/3

Let

x/y=z

∴

2z +3/z=29/3⇒2z^2+3={29z}/3

⇒

6 z^ 2 + 9 = 2 9 z

⇒

6 z ^2 - 2 9 z + 9 = 0

⇒

6z^2 -2 z -2 7 z + 9 = 0

⇒

2 z ( 3 z - 1 ) - 9 ( 3 z - 1 ) = 0

⇒

z=9/2,1/3

∴

x/y=z=9/2
